Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041Job Overview The Parts and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory of parts and supplies for the company’s operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely procurement, and efficient distribution. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational readiness by managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, supervising parts runners, and ensuring the parts room remains clean, organized, and efficient. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the parts room and inventory storage areas. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts room at all times. Supervise and stay on top of all parts runners to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts and supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. Track and manage all parts purchases, invoices, and receipts. Ensure all purchase receipts are properly documented and submitted to the Accounts Payable (AP) department in a timely manner. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, place orders, and track deliveries. Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Ensure parts are properly labeled, organized, and stored to facilitate easy retrieval. Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to anticipate parts needs and support project planning. Oversee the return and warranty process for defective or unused parts. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations in the parts and inventory area. Supervise and train parts clerks, inventory assistants, and parts runners as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 3–5 years of inventory or warehouse management experience, preferably in a fleet, maintenance, or industrial environment. Strong understanding of inventory control practices and supply chain logistics. Experience handling invoices, receipts, and working with AP departments. Proficiency in inventory software systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.). Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform routine physical inventory tasks.
