This position is responsible for intake work with clients as they enter the clinical care area. The medical assistant a liaison between the front desk staff, and the medical providers in the provision of care. 聽 Essential Functions 路 Maintains first line contact with all clients who come into clinical care area. 路 Performs routine intake procedures such as height, weight, temperature, pulse and blood pressure readings, and respiration; 路 Assists with office procedures; 路 Responsibility for assisting with triage of clients and routing of charts to appropriate provider; 路 Assists medical providers with examination and treatment of patients., ensure cleanliness of exam rooms, and sterilization as required; 路 Assists with translation/interpretation as needed; 路 Screens clients for visual acuity using Snellen method and conducts audiometry exams; 路 Responsible for maintenance of medical/laboratory equipment to include quality controls on a regular basis; 路 Responsible for routine laboratory procedures including but not limited to various dipsticks, urinalysis, hematocrit, glucose screening, gram stains, and other procedures as approved by health center policies and CLIA standards. 聽 Non-essential Functions 路 Performs other related duties as assigned or requested; 路 Maintains supply room and orders supplies on a monthly basis; 路 Informs clinic manager of problems within the clinic. QualificationsCertified or registered medical assistant; 路 Fluent in Spanish and English required; 路 CPR certification required; 路 High school diploma or equivalent; 路 Previous experience strongly preferred; 路 Personal maturity, cooperation, ability to communicate clearly. 路 Vaccines required: Influenza, HEP B, TB Skin Test, Varicella and MMR
