About the Project
Commonwealth LNG, LLC is planning to construct a new liquefaction and export facility at a site located at the mouth of the Calcasieu River on the Gulf of America in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, USA consisting of 393 acres. The nominal net in tank capacity of each train facility is 1.55 million metric tons per annum (MTA), 9.3 MTA net in tank capacity for a 6-train facility.
The Project shall include, among other, the following systems / areas:Â
- Inlet facilities
- Power IslandÂ
- 6 LNG trains, each consisting of:Â
- Pre-Treatment Facilities including Mercury Removal, Acid Gas Removal (using BASF license), Dehydration and Heavy Hydrocarbon Removal (using UOP license);Â
- Liquefaction (using HONEYWELL technology) and Refrigeration.Â
- OSBL Interconnecting pipe racks;
- Boil-Off Gas compressors and associated pipe racks;Â
- OSBL Equipment and associated pipe racks;Â
- Flares (Elevated and Marine)Â
- LNG Tanks (5 ea – 50,000 m3)Â
- Power & Control SystemsÂ
- Marine Facility and LNG Loading ArmsÂ
- Civil, Structural and Heavy Haul Road
- Administration, control, and warehouse facilitiesÂ

About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to oversee Site construction activities performed by the Subcontractors. The Planning Engineer will lead the planning effort, manage schedule, collaborate with the subcontractors and the TEN Site team to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. As well the planning engineer will coordinate with the Home Office team to ensure sufficient workfront from Engineering & Procurement activities to Site construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- General:
- Take Safety as a first focus and Follow Golden Rules
- Attend required SHES / QA Trainings
Attend coordination meetings with Subcontractor

- Schedule:
- Lead the subcontract pre-award phase: preparation of the schedule exhibits and clarification meetings
- Lead Subcontractors baselines schedules package approval process (Schedules, progress curves, construction production curves & manpower histogram)
- Monitor Subcontractor schedules, i.e.: Contractual milestones, anticipated trends, possible deviations to quantify their impact and give early warnings of schedule problems.
Examine subcontractor’s resources, monitor productivity, forecast variations / trends and suggest adjustments if necessary to avoid potential schedules impact

- Progress / Reporting
- Prepare all schedule and progress input data needed for the project reporting requirements.
- Prepare & update construction KPI’s to summarize progress status information.
- Maintain the construction progress monitoring system considering the status and quantities of the work performed and the resources needed to achieve target performances.
- Provide status and quantities of the work performed and maintain manpower forecast, progress curves and histograms.
- Verified using the Construction Supervision and his team that work has been completed.
- Review and comment on regular reports (weekly & monthly) by Subcontractor.
Assess and inform work front management based on engineering and procurement status.

Site:
- You are requested to participate in Weekly Mass TBT.
- You are requested to submit 2 Safety Observation Cards (SOC) per week.
You are required to go to the site at least 1 hour / a day.

About You
We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent diploma.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in project execution and planning.
- Advanced proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, AWP,).
- Strong understanding of industry standards in planning and project control.
- Experience with progress measurement systems and schedule risk analysis.
- Familiarity with EPCI work process sequences.
- Ability to identify deviations from standards and propose improvements.
- Experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Execution Approach
- Prior experience working on Construction Site for mega projects within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with working on a USA Gulf Coast field construction site or in a module yard facility.
- Prior experience working on LNG tank construction site.
