We design, manufacture, install, and service high-impact signage solutions for commercial properties, multi-family housing, healthcare facilities, parking garages, and more. We partner with leading construction companies and architectural design firms to bring signage visions to life—from concept to installation. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pre-construction/Bid Specialist to serve as the foundation of our project lifecycle. This role is responsible for managing the competitive bidding process, performing accurate cost estimations, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure every project is set up for financial and operational success. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction estimating and the ability to translate complex blueprints into precise, winning proposals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Pre-construction/Bid Specialist manages the financial and technical accuracy of projects during the pre-award phase: Bid Management: Lead the end-to-end RFP (Request for Proposal) process, including reviewing project specifications, identifying key requirements, and ensuring all bid deadlines are met. Estimating & Take-offs: Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, fabrication, and installation. Subcontractor Coordination: Identify, vet, and manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Analyze incoming quotes for scope gaps and price competitiveness. Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings or alternative materials that meet the client’s design intent while maintaining project profitability. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Sales and Production teams to ensure a smooth hand-off of awarded projects, providing clear documentation of the bid strategy and scope. QualificationsEducation and Experience Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years in construction estimating, pre-construction services, or bid management is required. Experience in the signage or architectural industry is a significant plus. Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage, or Procore) and Microsoft Excel is required. Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for negotiating with vendors and presenting bids to internal stakeholders.
