Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Production Supervisor who will lead and guide our teams to meet/exceed customer expectations & achieve strategic and aspirational growth plans while following our values & guiding principles.  

In this role you will get to lead a team of production associates to execute production, improve and implement effective manufacturing processes, utilize concepts of lean & 6 sigma to drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while working to achieve key performance metrics and meeting/exceeding customer expectations. This position reports directly to the Site Manufacturing Leader.

In this role you will be responsible for:

    1. Safety
    • Enforce all safety procedures and company policies.
    • Ensure employees use proper PPE and follow safe work practices.
    • Investigate accidents or near misses and implement corrective actions.


    1. Production Management
    • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the shop floor.
    • Ensure production schedules are met according to production plan.
    • Monitor workflow, staffing, and equipment to maintain productivity.
    • Resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
    • Ensure proper use of materials, tools and equipment.


    1. Quality
    • Ensure products meet quality standards and meet customer requirements.
    • Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams on root cause analysis and support CAPA implementation.
    • Promote continuous improvement and error and rework reduction.
    • Responsible for First Pass Yield (FPY).


    1. Team Leadership
    • Lead, coach and motivate production operators and assemblers.
    • Assign tasks and manage shift activities
    • Responsible for productivity and overtime.
    • Conduct Tier-1 meetings.
    • Onboarding and train team members on procedures, safety and quality standards.
    • Onboard and train new employees and support skill development.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
    • Maintain discipline and accountability.


    1. Materials and inventory
    • Ensure materials are available to support production.
    • Coordinate with planning, sourcing and materials teams.
    • Monitor inventory accuracy and materials transactions.
    • Support timely closure of job orders.
    • Responsible for Scrap.


    1. Equipment and Maintenance
    • Ensure machines and tools are operating properly.
    • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
    • Report equipment failures and support troubleshooting.


    1. Communication and Reports
    • Communicate production status and issues to management.
    • Escalate shortage, quality concerns, or equipment issues quickly.
    • Prepare production reports and updates.

 

Job Requirements: 


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and MRP transactions (Epicor preferred)
  • Ability to work department shift hours and relevant overtime with the team

 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical assembly, and/or fabrication
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated and effective leadership style, with a positive and proactive approach to supervision with a proven ability to build high performing teams
  • Excellent people skills with a proven ability in supervising, coaching, and training employees  
  • Ability to develop Team Leads & front-line employees to grow their skills and achieve desired metrics  
  • Strong mechanical aptitude 
  • Ability to adapt & thrive in a fast-paced/high growth work environment.  
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
