This role is built for a hands-on engineer who enjoys tackling complex municipal challenges, guiding junior staff, and collaborating with a high-performing team. You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle—planning, design, construction, and leadership—while building expertise and shaping infrastructure that has a lasting community impact.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and independently complete engineering designs using professional judgmentÂ
- Support or act as Project Manager; assign tasks, set schedules, and monitor team progressÂ
- Perform QA/QC reviews on engineering work and ensure accuracyÂ
- Make key design decisions and coordinate impacts across projectsÂ
- Identify and resolve technical, schedule, and budget issuesÂ
- Support bidding and contractor selection; respond to contractor questionsÂ
- Monitor construction and supervise field workÂ
- Prepare addenda, recommend change orders, and contribute to proposals (scope, schedule, cost)Â
- Communicate directly with clients on technical mattersÂ
- Sign and seal engineering documents; serve as technical expert or PM on select projectsÂ
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering from an accredited programÂ
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 monthsÂ
- 4+ years of engineering/design experience, including water and/or wastewater projectsÂ
- Strong technical writing, communication, and plan-reading skillsÂ
- Proficiency with engineering tools, analysis equipment, and softwareÂ
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities across routine and complex tasksÂ
