Oversees engineering project design, equipment procurement, and implementation for incoming Hitec DRUPS and special project orders. Aids service department with trouble calls when required. Provides engineering support to sales department in reviewing customer specifications and obtaining price quotes for Hitec equipment.

  • Apply Hitec rotary DRUPS technology to site specific UPS power distribution projects to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare technical specifications for procurement of DRUPS equipment including all ancillary and special-order devices.
  • Review and approve all Hitec and vendor submittal drawings and instruction manuals.
  • Witness and approve all factory and site tests for equipment procured by Company.
  • Review and approve all site specific PLC programs.
  • Oversee all engineering aspects of site commissioning:
  • Liaison with customer site engineer to ensure proper integration of Hitec machines with existing equipment. o Indirectly supervise the on-site Hitec commissioning team.
  • Implement, direct and approve all project design changes including changes to PLC programming.
  • Conduct customer training.
  • Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Aid the Service Department when required to solve issues related to corrective maintenance.
  • Provide engineering sales support to Sales Department
  • Attend meetings with prospective customers.
  • Review customer specifications and aid in the preparation of quote documents.
  • Aid Sales in obtaining and approving preliminary price quotes for Hitec equipment.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to project a professional attitude
  • Highly motivated and willing to learn in areas where deficient
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems/engine operation
  • Team oriented - willing to step outside of job description when required
  • Willingness to travel Approximately 2-3 trips per month, average of 2-3 days duration per trip with increases possible during commissionings. Weekend travel is rare but can occur.
