Job Summary:
The Project Engineer is the primary technical point of contact for Repsol, vendors, and the internal project team. The role acts as a liaison between the contractor鈥檚 engineering team, the Repsol engineering team and Project Manager. The role also serves as the technical integrator across all project phases, ensuring engineering deliverables, design assumptions, and technical interfaces are aligned and execution-ready.
The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.聽聽
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Controls
路聽Work with the Project team to develop basis of design.
路聽Align project technical objectives with schedule milestones.
路聽Produce and/or review meeting minutes for project meetings.
路聽Identify critical path items and coordinate corrective actions.
路聽Prepare engineering status reports and track action items.
聽
Engineering Management & Integration
路聽Oversee and manage engineering deliverables across the full lifecycle (development through operation turnover).
路聽Act as the technical integrator ensuring coordination of engineering and design inputs, assumptions, and interfaces.
路聽Serve as primary technical interface between EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and internal teams.

Procurement & Contracting
路聽Support conceptual design packages for RFP development.
路聽Develop and manage RFP technical exhibits.
路聽Prepare Request for Price (RFP) packages.
路聽Review vendor quotes and manage technical bid evaluations.
路聽Lead bidder clarifications, Q&A, and deviation tracking.
路聽Support bid evaluations and technical negotiations.

Design & Technical Coordination
路聽Organize project scope of work and specifications based on company standards.
路聽Provide engineering technical support from early development through project close out.
路聽Facilitate technical reviews of civil, structural, electrical and SCADA design documents.
聽
Engineering Reviews & Documentation
路聽Coordinate internal technical reviews across SMEs and Owner鈥檚 engineer.
路聽Manage engineering deliverables and submittal documentation.
路聽Ensure project adherence to and implementation of Company Standards and technical requirements.
聽
Interdepartmental Coordination
路聽Coordinate GIS, survey, and geotechnical data inputs through detail design.
路聽Support environmental and permitting activities.
路聽Collaborate with interconnection and compliance management to meet utility and ISO requirements.
路聽Deliver technical documentation to support tax equity and asset rotation.

Construction & Commissioning
路聽Facilitate constructability review meetings prior to design IFC.
路聽Coordinate RFIs and field engineering issues with Construction Managers.
路聽Support commissioning, testing, and performance verification.
聽
Closeout & Improvement
路聽Review, track and support change management request.
路聽Oversee as-built documentation and turnover packages.
路聽Capture lessons learned to improve future project execution.
聽
Qualifications:
路聽Applied knowledge of electric solar and energy storage projects.
路聽Knowledge and application of principles in area of solar and energy storage.
路聽Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
路聽Well organized and attentive to details.
路聽Strong focus on safety and the ability to adhere to all safety requirements without exception.
路聽Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple projects.
路聽Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and accepts a high degree of personal responsibility for results.
路聽Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Required Qualifications:
路聽Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
路聽Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the development and execution of large-scale Solar, Wind and BESS Projects.
路 Knowledgeable of renewable industry standards and best practices.
路聽Practical knowledge of relevant Electrical Codes and Standards including but not limited to NEC, NESC, NFPA, API, NEMA, IEEE/ANSI etc.
路聽Experience in Power System modeling software like PVSyst, SKM, ETAP, PSCAD, PSSE, etc.
路聽Possessing or in the process of obtaining a PE License and NCEES record is a plus.
路Experience in utility coordination, substation and overhead power line design is a plus.
