Job Title: Project Engineer I

Summary:

Project Engineer I is an entry-level to early-career role that provides support for midstream oil & gas projects, including pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, meter stations, and related facilities. Under the guidance of senior staff, this position assists with technical deliverables, cross-discipline coordination, and project execution to ensure the delivery of projects that meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports

Support coordination between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders

Help track deliverables and maintain project documentation

Perform basic technical reviews and calculations under supervision

Assist with procurement tasks such as preparing requisitions and reviewing vendor data

Participate in site visits and provide basic field engineering support when needed

Learn and apply relevant industry codes, standards, and company procedures

Ability to travel as required

Required Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline

0–3 years of engineering experience, preferably in the oil & gas midstream sector (internship or co-op experience acceptable)

Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, DOT/PHMSA) is a plus

Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn

Proficiency with MS Office; experience with AutoCAD or similar tools preferred

EIT certification preferred with progress towards acquiring P.E.

Team player – able to communicate and relate well with others

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds

Ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings, and job site visits (when required)
