We are seeking an experiencedQuality Engineer to support high-reliability cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electrical connector systems used in oil & gas and data center power/network infrastructure.

The Quality Engineer ensures these products meet the highest standards of reliability, environmental durability, and regulatory compliance. This role supports quality systems, manufacturing processes, supplier quality, and continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support quality requirements for cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electrical connector systems used in oil & gas, industrial energy, and data center infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with IPC-A-620 / WHMA-A-620, ISO 9001, UL, API, AS9100 where applicable, and customer-specific requirements
  • Support First Article Inspections, PPAP documentation, qualification testing, validation builds, and internal/customer audits
  • Provide hands-on quality engineering support for soldering, crimping, overmolding, shielding, potting, high-amp power terminations, and high-density data cabling
  • Lead root-cause investigations for internal rejects, supplier nonconformance, customer complaints, and field failures
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions using tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D, DMAIC, and FMEA
  • Develop and maintain process flows, control plans, PFMEAs, inspection/test plans, and workmanship guidelines
  • Partner with production, engineering, supply chain, and customer service teams to improve quality, manufacturability, and reliability
  • Support new product introductions for energy and data center applications
  • Evaluate supplier quality performance and support supplier audits, corrective actions, PPAPs, CoCs, CMRTs, and failure analyses

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field; equivalent technical experience may also be considered
  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience in cable assembly, wire harness, connector manufacturing, or electromechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of IPC-A-620 / WHMA-A-620
  • Experience with FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D, corrective action, and root-cause analysis methods
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Experience using inspection and test equipment such as micrometers, calipers, pull-testers, hipot testers, and other electrical or mechanical test tools
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting oil & gas, industrial energy, or data center infrastructure products
  • Knowledge of environmental and regulatory compliance programs, including REACH, RoHS, and Conflict Minerals reporting
  • Familiarity with UL, ATEX, IECEx, or other certification requirements for hazardous or safety-critical environments
  • Experience with ruggedized or harsh-environment cable assemblies, including subsea, topside, drilling instrumentation, refinery equipment, or high-reliability data center applications
  • ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, or related quality certification
