Position Summary
The Quality Engineer supports the implementation and continuous improvement of project quality management systems, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, applicable standards, and company procedures. This role contributes to quality assurance and quality control activities throughout construction execution, supporting the monitoring and improvement of project quality performance.
The position works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and quality leadership to verify execution of quality processes, support audits, and contribute to the resolution of quality issues. The role also performs data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
In addition, the Quality Engineer supports the deployment of quality tools, reporting systems, and training initiatives, helping to strengthen quality culture and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of Project and Site Quality PlansÂ
- Ensure alignment between contract requirements, project procedures, and subcontractor scopeÂ
- Communicate quality standards, procedures, and requirements to project teamsÂ
- Verify implementation of quality procedures across construction activitiesÂ
- Review quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and complianceÂ
- Support development and follow-up of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)Â
- Contribute to subcontractor quality monitoring and surveillance activitiesÂ
- Participate in internal and external audits (QMS, subcontractors, third parties)Â
- Support management and follow-up of audit findings, NCRs, and observation reportsÂ
- Verify implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actionsÂ
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data and KPIsÂ
- Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities through data analysisÂ
- Support preparation of quality reports and presentationsÂ
- Perform statistical analysis and support root cause investigationsÂ
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality programsÂ
- Assist in development and tracking of quality training plansÂ
- Support deployment and use of digital quality tools and reporting systemsÂ
- Provide quality support and guidance to project and site teamsÂ
- Perform site and subcontractor audits

Compliance / Operational ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Ensure compliance with Project Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO-based standards
- Maintain alignment with contract requirements and regulatory expectationsÂ
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and tracking of quality dataÂ
- Support adherence to quality processes across project executionÂ
- Promote quality culture and awareness across project teamsÂ
- Ensure proper use of quality tools, systems, and databases

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)Â
- 8–10 years of experience in quality roles in LNG plant constructionÂ
- Strong understanding of quality procedures, standards, and management systemsÂ
- Working knowledge of quality processes across multiple project phasesÂ
- Proficiency in quality tools and systemsÂ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Associate’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural or related discipline)Â
- Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systemsÂ
- Knowledge of FERC regulationsÂ
- Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, ASCE, AISC, AWS, AASHTO, and NFPA standardsÂ
- Knowledge of civil construction practices including concreting, steel erection, and groutingÂ
- Understanding of construction codes, regulations, and site practices
