Position Overview

This role is responsible for supporting supplier quality activities across complex projects, ensuring materials and equipment meet project specifications and quality requirements. The position coordinates inspections, manages supplier nonconformities, develops project-specific quality documentation, and works closely with suppliers, customers, inspectors, and third-party resources throughout fabrication and testing.

District Overview

Kiewit’s Quality Group is a shared service that maintains and executes quality standards on projects across the company. Our principal quality objectives are to meet or exceed clients’ expectations and to eliminate rework by performing our work “right the first time.” We monitor our performance against these objectives and require continual improvement.

Responsibilities

•    Track, supplier nonconformities & quality issues. 
•    Ensure alignment of inspection and expediting activities
•    Preparation of Project Specific Quality Documents such as instructions, checklists etc.
•    Support assigned inspectors in audits
•    Coordinate with Supplier, Customer & third-party inspector for witness and hold inspection points per project ITPs.
•    Undertake training as required
•    Manage & track assigned budget for the project.
•    Manage assigned inspectors, coordinators and 3rd party resources
•    Desire to gain knowledge of the design, fabrication, and testing requirements of equipment used in power, oil & gas, water industries.

Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

Qualifications

•    Must be able to communicate in a professional manner.
•    Required to be fully numerate and computer literate (MS Office)
•    Good communication skills at all levels of the business
•    Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
