Radiographic Test Inpector  

 

LOCATION: Houston - Texas  - USA 

DEPARTMENT: INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS 

 

Inspector

Performs inspections on pipes identifying and marking defects when found, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure product quality complying with defined standards and reporting deviations.
  • Executes change over and set up of the X-Ray equipment and revealing equipment.
  • Prepares X-Ray plates according to quality procedures.
  • Identifies and positions pipes.
  • Settles X-Ray plates on pipes.
  • Performs machine operation.
  • Assists machine lock outs and tag outs and does operative maintenance (revealing fluid, machine adjustments, etc.).
  • Updates information in the tracking systems and records the obtained results.

 

Schedule:

This position will be required to work on a rotating shift and to work overtime, holidays, shifts and weekends (if needed).

 

Preferred skills:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiar with operating a forklift
  • Familiar with operating an overhead crane
  • Familiar with NDT Techniques (Magnetic Particles, Visual Inspection)
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain a good attitude
  • Familiar with ERW process and the Tubing Industry
