JOB ROLES: Instructional support coordinator assesses teachers’ needs and proficiency, assists them in setting goals, connects them to the appropriate resources, and provides ongoing support as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Texas Teacher Certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of successful teaching required
  • School leadership experience preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assisting campus administrators and regional academic directors in building the capacity of teachers.
  • Monitoring and modeling PLC meetings.
  • Provide guidance and support to campus PLC leaders.
  • Facilitate team meetings to assure that the team is working toward site goals
  • Support campus administrators in developing “Teacher in Need of Assistance”.
  • Participation in required training
  • Visit the campuses regularly to support the campus leadership in building the capacity of teachers
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
  • Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
  • The position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
