We are searching for an OB Float Pool Nurse! – someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll provide quality nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age appropriate care in a manner that incorporates family centered principals and cost effective care.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or other nursing degree with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement

Licensure & Certifications:

Current Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact license
BLS certification required (American Heart Association)

Experience:

Minimum of 9 months of professional nursing experience

Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrates positive and appropriate interpersonal skills
Strong time and resource management abilities
Demonstrates flexibility, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of unit-specific equipment and the nursing process
PALS certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years in women’s services
Experience on OB Triage, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum
High-Risk Women’s Services (including GYN and antepartum OB patients)
Mother/Baby Unit (Couplet Care)
Newborn Transition Nurse (providing care to newly delivered newborns)
