Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Operations in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government airport location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and supporting visitors and employees with professional service. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while using computer or tablet systems. Pay Rate: $16.97 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to airport visitors, employees, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, identification, authorizations, and/or visitor documentation in accordance with airport and government facility requirements.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials at assigned access control locations, reporting unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
