Job Title: Security Shift Supervisor – Auto Auction Site
Location: Auto Auction Facility
Schedule: Wednesday 12am – 6am, Thursday - Saturday 6pm – 6am
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
Position Overview
The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting on‑site security officers while ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of a high‑volume auto auction facility. This role combines hands‑on security duties with leadership responsibilities, including audits, inspections, and patrol operations. The position operates primarily outdoors under a large canopied area and requires extensive vehicle and pedestrian interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Shift Lead, providing direction and oversight for assigned security officers
- Check vehicles in and out of the auction facility alongside security officers (hundreds of vehicles per shift)
- Conduct and document audits, inspections, and checkpoint tours
- Perform regular patrols of the site and perimeter using a security vehicle
- Monitor designated checkpoints to ensure property security and compliance
- Answer and respond to after‑hours security calls and issues
- Write accurate and detailed incident reports as required
- Enforce site policies, safety procedures, and post orders
- Assist with general officer duties as needed to maintain site coverage and effectiveness
Work Environment
- Primarily an outside post under a large canopied structure
- High‑volume auto auction activity with frequent vehicle movement
- Driving a security vehicle as part of routine patrols and site monitoring
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older (due to driving requirements)
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Ability to drive and operate a security vehicle safely
- Must successfully complete a CPR class prior to starting at the siteÂ
- (CPR training is provided by Securitas after hire)
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
- Strong communication, observation, and report‑writing skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to lead by example
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior security or supervisory experience
- Experience working vehicle gates, checkpoints, or high‑traffic environments
- Familiarity with incident reporting and patrol operations
