Senior Accountant – Houston, TXÂ
About Us:Â
Senior Psych Care provides fully integrative behavioral health services to the long-term care patient, at their facility.Â
Job Summary:Â
The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for performing accounting activities including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, financial reporting, and other accounting-related functions.Â
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Enter and maintain business transactions in QuickBooksÂ
- Help balance and reconcile general ledger accountsÂ
- Perform AP, AR, and GL activitiesÂ
- Bank reconciliationsÂ
- Perform daily cash reconciliationÂ
- Assist in the preparation of year-end reports and documentation for AuditsÂ
- Statement billingÂ
- Prepare schedules, analyze trends for costs, revenues, and financial commitmentsÂ
- Perform variance analysis on monthly financial reportsÂ
- Prepare daily/weekly bank depositsÂ
- Fixed Asset capitalization, depreciation, and amortizationÂ
- Expense accruals and prepaid amortizationÂ
- Manage expense reimbursement platformÂ
- Adhoc projects and reporting requiredÂ
Required Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in AccountingÂ
- 3-5 years of accounting experienceÂ
- Knowledge of GAAPÂ
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooksÂ
- Experience managing expense reimbursement platformsÂ
- Must possess qualities of attention to detail, organizational skills, quick learner, team- and results-orientedÂ
