As a On-Site Senior Estimator you will be responsible for supervising and assigning bids to a regional estimating staff. This position is additionally responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project. This position must aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received, as well as work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business and ensure customer needs are being met. Critical for success are the abilities to work independently and produce highly accurate work in a timely matter.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree from a 4 year college or university
  • Experience in utility construction estimating 
  • At least 5 years of substation estimating experience 
  • Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Being onsite at the Hubbard Data Center, Monday-Friday each week
