Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst in a Healthcare Domain
Location: Altus Community Healthcare

Reports To: Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.


Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support financial and operational decision-making within a healthcare environment. This role will be highly business facing, partnering closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and operations teams to provide financial insights, performance analysis, and strategic support. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary financial liaison to the COO, providing data-driven insights to support clinical and operational performance.
  • Analyze key healthcare metrics, including patient volumes, payer mix, reimbursement trends, provider productivity, staffing ratios, and operational costs.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for clinical departments, service lines, and facilities.
  • Conduct financial variance and trend analysis to identify performance drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain pro-formas to evaluate new programs, service expansions, staffing changes, and capital investments.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages and presentations for executive leadership and clinical managers.
  • Collaborate with operations, clinical leaders, revenue cycle, and HR to ensure financial alignment across the organization.
  • Evaluate cost structures, identify inefficiencies, and support initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and patient care delivery.
  • Assist in preparing business cases, ROI analyses, and presentations for strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data, support compliance with healthcare financial regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; MBA, MHA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a healthcare, hospital, clinic, or medical practice setting.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with EMR, EHR, and BI tools (e.g., Data Rails, Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and non-clinical leaders.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.
