Our sectors of focus include aerospace, automotive, energy, government, and high-tech industrial. We are currently seeking an experienced industry veteran, ideally with an existing portfolio of business, to join our team in Houston.
Position Summary
The Senior Sales Executive plays a crucial role in generating new business and enhancing key accounts in specific markets. This position suits a sales-oriented individual with extensive expertise in global logistics, able to introduce comprehensive supply chain solutions to both clients and prospective customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new sales leads through active prospecting, referrals, and tapping into the existing network.
- Create and oversee a pipeline of target accounts in alignment with the company’s revenue objectives.
- Work closely with internal operations to ensure effective onboarding and execution processes.
- Spot chances to upsell and cross-sell across various services (air, ocean, customs, domestic).
- Act as the company’s representative during client meetings, trade exhibitions, and logistics conferences.
- Keep CRM records current and provide consistent reports on sales activities.
Skills and Qualifications, including but not limited to:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in international and domestic logistics and cargo transportation sales is preferred.
- Experience in outside business-to-business sales is highly desirable, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- A well-established presence in the marketplace is advantageous.
- A demonstrated sales track record in business development is essential.
- Willingness to travel as necessitated by client and corporate requirements is required.
- Availability for after-hours or weekend work may be necessary in response to client demands and/or seasonal fluctuations typical to the transportation industry.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills are imperative.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- An entrepreneurial spirit is highly valued.
