Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results
People:
- Create a positive team member experience.
Client:
- Maintain strong focus on customer service to all clients.
Value:
- Develops and maintains software applications per specifications leveraging technologies such as C#/.NET or Java, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML and CSS.
- Design and develop application architectures drawing from a deep understanding of languages, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Experience building enterprise quality market facing products with professional user interfaces.
- Develop task plans and development schedules for achieving project objectives and deliverables.
- Evaluate business processes, make recommendations, and implement system design enhancements/changes.
- Document and define requirements for development and enhancement projects; and processes and procedures in application development.
- Interface with other departments within the company on system enhancements and modifications, problem resolution and special requests.
- Maintains source code control system and application software versioning.
- Adheres to Firm processes for change and configuration management, contributing to ongoing maintenance of audits and other security/compliance initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent related work experience. Two or more years of practical applications development experience in an engineer, programmer, or analyst capacity.
Certificates and Licenses:
Microsoft® Development C# and .NET certifications are desirable.
Computer Skills:
- Languages: C#, Java, T-SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Frameworks: .NET (ASP.NET Web Forms, Entity Framework, Web.API), Front End
- Frameworks/Libraries (jQuery, AngularJS)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, IIS
- Experience with Visual Studio, Java IDE, Visual Studio Code, or like IDE/Editors
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm as well as interaction with external vendors and clients as necessary.
- Independent travel requirement: up to 10%.
- This position allows for an individual to work remotely from a home office with approval.
