As a member of the Development Team, this position is responsible for developing and enhancing enterprise level applications. The Software Developer will design and implement complex web-based software and will be able to troubleshoot a complex environment consisting of web, application and database servers. In addition, the successful candidate should be able to quickly understand and retool software already written, produce coding specifications based on business requirements, and have substantial experience along with the ability to work directly with stakeholders. The Software Developer is primarily responsible for coding, testing, debugging and documenting new and existing business applications. He or she will work closely with product management to review designs, coding standards, and approaches.

  • Develops and maintains software applications per specifications leveraging technologies such as C#/.NET or Java, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML and CSS.
  • Design and develop application architectures drawing from a deep understanding of languages, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience building enterprise quality market facing products with professional user interfaces.
  • Develop task plans and development schedules for achieving project objectives and deliverables.
  • Evaluate business processes, make recommendations, and implement system design enhancements/changes.
  • Document and define requirements for development and enhancement projects; and processes and procedures in application development.
  • Interface with other departments within the company on system enhancements and modifications, problem resolution and special requests.
  • Maintains source code control system and application software versioning.
  • Adheres to Firm processes for change and configuration management, contributing to ongoing maintenance of audits and other security/compliance initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent related work experience. Two or more years of practical applications development experience in an engineer, programmer, or analyst capacity.

Certificates and Licenses:
Microsoft® Development C# and .NET certifications are desirable.

Computer Skills:

  • Languages: C#, Java, T-SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Frameworks: .NET (ASP.NET Web Forms, Entity Framework, Web.API), Front End
  • Frameworks/Libraries (jQuery, AngularJS)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, IIS
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Java IDE, Visual Studio Code, or like IDE/Editors


Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm as well as interaction with external vendors and clients as necessary.
  • Independent travel requirement: up to 10%.
  • This position allows for an individual to work remotely from a home office with approval.
