Job DetailsJob Location: Full-Time Remote - Houston, TX 77084SUMMARY  The Education Strategic Scheduling Specialist manages the budgeting, scheduling, personnel, vendors, and equipment assigned to AMPP Education courses globally.  As the first contact with AMPP Education, they treat vendors as valued customers and ensure that vendors, contractors, and clients have good experience working with the AMPP education team.  The specialist sets the minimum expectations for the global delivery of courses, including the approval of facilities, and collaborates with other departments on future opportunities and new locations.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee and report on revenue and expense budgets for Instructor Led courses ($10M+ annually). Audits monthly financials for those courses that they own and provides forecasts based on future courses and deferred revenue. Leads special projects related to Education systems and cross functionally represents Education on enterprise projects Recommends, approves and rejects new facilities where Education courses will be delivered. (Scope, Schedule, Budget, and Quality). Serve as staff leads in Education operations, demonstrating leadership skills in dealing with administrative staff, students, instructors, and contracted clients.   Determines the need for and negotiates agreements for miscellaneous outside services such as audio/visual equipment rental, food and beverage, shuttle buses, etc.  Owns and creates custom corporate training contracts for larger clients and interfaces with  Portfolio Managers and Global Operations on new opportunities. Work closely with IT and  Customer Support Department to ensure success of on-line communication of courses and accurate information regarding registration. Coordinate with marketing department to ensure successful marketing of courses. Review enrollment statistics and coordinate with marketing to address weak areas.  Oversee, direct, and monitor vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of contracted services Analyzes course and trend data.  Adds additional courses in over-performing areas or removes courses in under-performing areas. Coordinate with Marketing and Social Media departments to request timely marketing of courses. Review enrollment statistics and solicit additional support from Marketing/Social Media & Portfolio Managers as needed. Track, manage, and review the Education inventory necessary to deliver courses. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  No supervisory responsibilities are required for this role.  QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Or a minimum of 5 years of related work experience preferably in a not-for-profit/associate field.  Prior event scheduling, contract negotiation and project management skills in this role are a plus.  LANGUAGE SKILLS   Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS   Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to develop and interpret business graphs.   REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Possess the ability to read technical reports, including inventory data, and make judgment decisions on future courses and the likelihood of having available resources.  Ability to perform a project level cost accounting report and provide forecast data based on projections of upcoming courses. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES   Must possess the ability to communicate with technicians, business owners and diverse clientele professionally and with business acumen both in written form, over the phone and face to face, as needed. Lead special projects with minimal or no supervision. Have demonstrated personnel management skills including, but not limited to, the ability to evaluate staff performance and provide direction, is highly desirable. Ability to work in a multi-task environment considering various external factors and to communicate efficiently and accurately to both managers/supervisors and subordinate staff. Must be detail oriented.  Must be computer literate with knowledge and experience in word processing and spreadsheet softwares.
