Job DetailsLevel: SeniorJob Location: Houston, TX 77051Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Systems Administrator / Cloud Engineer to lead the design, administration, and optimization of our Microsoft Azure tenant. This role will play a critical part in managing our cloud infrastructure, supporting Windows-based systems, and contributing to the organization’s cybersecurity framework. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in Azure environments, strong system administration skills, and a proactive approach to security and operational excellence. Job Responsibilities: Design, implement, configure, and maintain various Azure SaaS Cloud Services such as Azure AD, Teams, Exchange Online, Office 365, VNet Management, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Azure Storage. Deploy and maintain Azure IaaS virtual machines and Azure Application and Networking Services to support the organization’s goal to migrate to the cloud Optimize Azure buildouts for cost/performance (VM optimization, tagging, reserved instances, etc.) Support the Development Team in transitioning their solutions to the Azure environment Support and design App Gateway’s, Azure Front Door, App Services, storage accounts, Defender for Cloud, Azure APIM, managing billing costs, Cato SDWAN in Azure, Log Analytics, App Proxy, Entra Enterprise Applications. Integration of SSO using Entra as the IDP with various platforms. Recommend, develop, plan, manage, implement, and document IT projects Research products and new technologies and stay abreast of emerging technologies and opportunities that will improve the organization. Provide advance management of the On-Prem server environment. Be an escalation point and provide mentorship for other team members Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent fields. 7+ years of experience in Azure and Office 365 services. Certification can be substituted for some years of service. Az-104 or AZ-305 certification is a plus. Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, etc.) Experience managing Entra AD Connect Experience managing Windows Enterprise Environments Experience managing Virtualization environments. Nutanix expertise is a plus. PowerShell proficiency is a plus Other: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Requires the ability to work both independently and in a group environment. Strong problem-solving skills
