Position Description:

The Senior Accounting Manager will own the accounting function's day-to-day execution and drive its development as the company grows. The ideal candidate will possess a deep background in corporate accounting, multi-entity financial management, and regulatory reporting, with a demonstrated track record of building processes and developing people — not just running an existing playbook. This is a high-impact role tailored for a leader looking to expand their scope and grow into accounting leadership as the business scales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own accounting operations end to end, including functional responsibility over bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Own the full month-end and year-end close cycle across multiple entities and divisions, including consolidation, review of account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals, driving continuous reduction in close timeline.
  • Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
  • Design, improve, and scale accounting systems, controls, and SOPs; lead corrective action plans and process redesign.
  • Lead NetSuite process automation and system improvement initiatives across the accounting function.
  • Build and develop the accounting team by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training and feedback, and cultivating future leaders.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and insights to senior leaders and owners of the Company.
  • Own external audit coordination, tax preparation coordination, and regulatory and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with vendors, customers, and internal team members.
  • Collaborate and build effective relationships across departments and business units.
  • Perform other responsibilities and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA strongly preferred; Master's degree a plus
  • 9+ years of experience as an accountant or in an accounting related function required
  • 4+ years of experience leading or managing a team required
  • Demonstrated ownership of a full close cycle across multiple entities or divisions required.
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software, NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Track record of building and improving processes, systems, and controls.
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel required
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Benefits:

  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short Term Disability insurance)
  • 401k plan with company match
  • Annual bonus incentive
