Senior Architectural Designer – 4 to 7 years
About the Role
Project Luong Architects is seeking a dedicated Architectural Designer with 4 to 7 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. This multifaceted role requires a professional capable of managing diverse architectural responsibilities across all project phases. Key duties include advancing designs from concept through execution, conducting code research, and producing comprehensive construction documentation. Additionally, the successful candidate will support marketing initiatives and business development efforts, including proposal preparation and participation in industry networking. Candidates should be actively pursuing professional licensure.
Responsibilities
Design & Technical Development
- Develop and advance projects through all phases of design, from programming and space planning through construction documentation.
- Translate design concepts into coordinated, accurate construction documents that reflect firm standards and accepted construction practices.
- Apply building codes, accessibility requirements, and permitting regulations throughout the design process.
- Coordinate architectural work with structural, civil, and MEP engineering disciplines to produce integrated project documents.
Project Delivery
- Manage assigned project responsibilities while supporting project scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Conduct site visits for field verification, construction coordination, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with contractors during bidding and construction, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and construction administration activities.
- Take increasing ownership of project coordination and decision-making while developing project management capabilities.
Collaboration & Professional Growth
- Work collaboratively with project teams, consultants, and clients to deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Support business development and marketing efforts through proposal preparation, networking, and industry engagement.
- Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a commitment to continuous professional development, including progress toward architectural licensure.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A degree in B.Arch or M.ArchÂ
- 4 - 7 years of professional experienceÂ
- Proficient in AutoDesk (Revit / CAD / Forma), Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, SketchUp / Rhino, Enscape, Sketching and otherwise physically conveying an ideaÂ
- Architect License in Texas preferredÂ
- Engages with one or more professional organizations regularlyÂ

Pay and Benefits

- Salary – $60,000 to $75,000 for non-licensed; $65,000 to $85,000 for licensed professionalÂ
