Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Global Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing the company’s global sourcing strategies. By leveraging strong leadership and analytical skills while optimizing sourcing practices, the Sr. Manager will deliver cost savings, mitigate risks, and enhance the quality of goods and services procured globally. The Sr. Manager will act as a key business partner across functions including Operations, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain, driving value and innovation through supplier relationships.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads end-to-end sourcing activities for assigned categories, including market analysis, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Develops global sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, risk mitigation, and supply assurance.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into sourcing strategies.
  • Builds and manages a high-performing sourcing team; mentor and develop team members.
  • Negotiates favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, service levels, and performance metrics.
  • Establishes KPIs and scorecards to monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and sustainability standards.
  • Identifies and qualify new suppliers to support global business requirements.
  • Monitors global supply markets, trends, and geopolitical risks; provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Drives continuous improvement, cost-reduction initiatives, and value engineering efforts.
  • Develops and implements the company’s global supply chain, strategic sourcing and contracting procedures, processes and solutions while supporting continuous improvement in commercial performance of supplier contracts. This includes the analysis, negotiation, and management of a wide spectrum of standard form contracts on a global scale; determining and applying the appropriate contract instruments for various procurement needs, strategies and regions while continuously improving supplier agreements in accordance with the company’s procurement needs worldwide. 
  • Works effectively with internal functional groups to assess contractual risk and exposure, review and approve contractual language, negotiate contract terms, mitigate contractual exposure, and risk, and obtain the best possible value for the company. 
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers against contractual standards and work with them to achieve continuous improvements in costs and performance.

  • Performs additional duties as necessary and participate in special projects as required. 

Qualifications / Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, with at least 3 years in managerial capacity.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification as Certified Profession in Supply Chain (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of global supply markets, sourcing strategies, and contract management.
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings and building strong supplier partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English. Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of organization, departments as well as across different cultures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (advanced skills, including formatting, analyzing large spreadsheets, pivot tables, and cross-workbook operations).

Skills & Experience 

  • Knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing, and ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English. Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of organization, departments as well as across different cultures. 

  • Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results on time.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
