About the Role:
HealthWealth Pharmacy in Houston, TX is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our team full time! Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and adherence
- Perform drug utilization reviews (DUR) and clinical screenings for each prescription
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers on medication therapy management (MTM)
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing or prior authorization issues
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
- Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) pharmacist license in good standing
- Previous retail, community, or clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of drug interactions, pharmacology, and pharmacy law
- Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and dispensing systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
