Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Staffing Coordinator you will serve as a central point of contact for clinical resource management, playing a vital role in ensuring optimal staffing levels across our nursing units and facilities. You will be responsible for the strategic coordination of personnel, bridging the gap between staffing demands and our internal and external resources within the Texas Float Pool. This position is ideal for an organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to delivering excellence in workforce planning.
Every day you will manage and maintain a robust, up-to-date database for your assigned area, tracking agency, internal, and external clinical staff with precision. You will act as the primary subject matter expert, providing critical support and troubleshooting for nursing leadership and staff regarding scheduling platforms and payroll systems. Your daily focus will be on maintaining accurate records, resolving scheduling discrepancies, and ensuring that all nursing departments have the necessary coverage to provide top-tier patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a proven background in healthcare staffing, scheduling, or workforce coordination. You must demonstrate high proficiency in navigating payroll and scheduling software, along with an analytical mindset to manage data effectively. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will frequently serve as a resource for staff and leadership to resolve operational challenges. Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Effective Communication
- Basic Computer skills including Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar)Â
- Critical thinking skills
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of the principles and skills of the nursing process to provide patient care and treatment

Preferred
- Three (3) years in clerical, staffing or patient placement
- Experience with inpatient staffing
