Job Summary
Texas Healthtech Institute, a vocational medical training institute, is seeking an experienced and motivated Student Recruiter to join our admissions team.
The Student Recruiter will be responsible for contacting prospective students generated through Facebook, Google, website inquiries, referrals, and other marketing channels and converting qualified leads into enrolled students. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in student recruitment or admissions for a vocational, career, technical, or allied-health school and should be comfortable with high-volume calling, consistent follow-up, campus tours, and enrollment conversion.
Previous experience working with federal, state, workforce, or grant-funded training programs is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Contact prospective students generated through Facebook, Google, website inquiries, referrals, and other marketing campaigns.
  • Respond promptly to new leads and use effective smart/consultative calling techniques to understand prospective students' career goals and training needs.
  • Build relationships with prospects, answer questions, address concerns, and guide them through the enrollment process.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up through phone calls, text messages, emails, and other approved communication channels.
  • Schedule appointments and campus tours and provide prospective students with an informative and welcoming experience.
  • Explain available training programs, admission requirements, program duration, career opportunities, and enrollment procedures.
  • Guide qualified students from initial inquiry through application, documentation, enrollment, and class start.
  • Follow up with missed appointments and inactive leads to improve conversion opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, calls, appointments, campus visits, applications, and enrollments in the school's CRM or lead-management system.
  • Coordinate with admissions, grant/financial assistance personnel, academic staff, and management to ensure smooth student onboarding.
  • Provide feedback to management and marketing teams regarding the quality and conversion of Facebook, Google, and other digital leads.
  • Assist prospective students in understanding applicable grant-funded or workforce-sponsored training opportunities.
  • Meet established performance expectations for lead response, appointments, campus tours, applications, enrollments, and student starts.
  • Participate in open houses, career fairs, community outreach, and other recruitment activities as needed.
  • Follow professional and ethical recruitment practices and applicable institutional and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant recruitment, admissions, education, or sales experience may be considered.
  • Prior experience as a Student Recruiter, Admissions Representative, Admissions Advisor, or Enrollment Specialist in a vocational school, career school, technical institute, or similar organization is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with vocational healthcare education and grant-funded/workforce programs is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to convert digital marketing leads into appointments, campus visits, applications, and enrollments.
  • Strong telephone communication and consultative/smart calling skills with the ability to build relationships rather than rely solely on scripted calls.
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of leads and maintaining disciplined follow-up.
  • Goal-oriented and comfortable working with measurable recruitment and enrollment targets.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Experience with CRM or student lead-management systems is preferred.
  • Energetic, dependable, self-motivated, and passionate about helping students achieve their educational and career goals.
Preferred: Previous recruitment experience with vocational or allied-health programs such as Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy Technician, Nurse Aide, Medical Billing/Coding, or similar programs.
