About the Job
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for optimizing domestic linehaul and inter-DC transportation performance across the network. This role drives measurable cost savings, service reliability, and network efficiency through advanced analytics, carrier performance management, and cross-functional project leadership.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
Network & Transportation Optimization:
·      Analyze linehaul & inter-DC freight activity to identify cost reduction & service opportunities
·      Monitor cost per mile, routing compliance, and capacity utilization
·      Identify lane optimization, consolidation, and routing guide enhancements
·      Evaluate fuel trends and transportation cost drivers to forecast financial impact
·      Develop financial models & scenario analyses to support optimization & strategic decision making

Performance Reporting & Financial Alignment:
·      Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for transportation cost and service performance
·      Partner with Finance to validate accruals, forecasts, and spend reporting accuracy
·      Conduct cost/benefit analyses for carrier changes, network adjustments, and operational initiatives

Project Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
·      Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on middle-mile efficiency, cost optimization, & service
·      Facilitate root cause analysis and gap assessments to resolve recurring service or cost issues
·      Develop project charters, timelines, and measurable success metrics
·      Track and report annual cost impact and performance improvement results

What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience
·      3–6+ years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Analytics
·      Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
·      Advanced Excel proficiency (financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis)
·      Strong financial acumen and understanding of transportation cost drivers
·      Experience with transportation systems, 3PLs, or carrier operations preferred
·      Experience with SQL or data visualization tools a plus
·      Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with strong analytical and communication skills

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
· Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
· Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
· Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
· Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
· Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from our Houston, TX. corporate office.
