With over 2,500 employees, the WOM group of companies is strategically located worldwide with manufacturing facilities, engineering centers, sales offices and assembly/testing workshops in Houston, Texas; Pune, India; Aberdeen, Scotland; Dubai, UAE; Seoul, South Korea; Jakarta, Indonesia; Ashgabat, Turkmenistan; and Singapore. 


We are currently seeking a Supply Chain and Inside Sales Coordinator at our Subsea facility in NW Houston to manage the full lifecycle of an inside sale, from initial customer inquiry through procurement and order fulfillment. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, handling day-to-day inquiries by phone and email, coordinating with internal departments such as Engineering and Planning, and supporting Planning Managers to ensure timely and accurate order processing.

In addition, the position is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, outsourced services, and equipment by negotiating pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers, tracking orders, and maintaining purchase orders (POs) in the system.

The role also serves as the facility's receptionist, providing a professional first point of contact for visitors and callers, managing the front desk, directing inquiries, coordinating visitor access, and supporting general administrative activities to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.


Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure customer Request for Quotations (RFQs) are issued on time, prepare estimate and process orders, manage customer portals
  • Concert approved purchase requisitions into Pas; send RFQs to external suppliers, resolve PO and invoice discrepancies
  • Negotiate price and delivery terms with both customers (Sales) and suppliers (Purchasing)
  • Frequently communicate order status to customers; monitor supplier delivery and quality performance; expedite orders and follow up
  • Responsible for all front-of-house reception duties while overseeing office operations, including purchasing supplies, sourcing cafeteria items (coffee, cups, etc.) and liaising with cleaning and facility management vendors
  • Comply with all environmental, health and safety rules
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned


Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years customer service experience.
  • 2+ years as a Buyer or similar procurement position or supply chain experience. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, specifically O&G/ API products
  • Experience with ERP systems like Syteline 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
