We are seeking a strategic and growth-oriented executive, SVP, Commercial Lines to lead our Commercial Lines Business Unit. This leader will be responsible for driving production, retention, profitability, carrier strategy, operational excellence, and talent development across one of the company's largest business segments. This is a key leadership role for an executive who has successfully scaled commercial insurance operations, built high-performing teams, and delivered sustained organic and acquisition-driven growth.


What You'll Own:


  • Business Unit P&L – Own revenue growth, profitability, retention, and operational performance across the Commercial Lines portfolio.
  • Growth Strategy – Develop and execute strategies to accelerate new business production, cross-sell penetration, and organic growth.
  • Sales Leadership – Lead HUB Leaders, producers, and sales leadership teams to drive accountability and consistent production results.
  • Carrier & Market Strategy – Strengthen carrier partnerships, manage market access, and ensure competitive placement strategies across all major commercial segments.
  • Operational Excellence – Standardize processes, KPIs, reporting, and service delivery models to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Talent Development – Recruit, develop, and retain top-performing commercial leaders, producers, and service professionals.
  • M&A Integration – Partner with executive leadership to evaluate, integrate, and optimize acquired agencies and commercial books of business.
  • Strategic Planning – Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, helping shape company strategy, market expansion, and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Client Experience – Ensure commercial clients receive exceptional service delivery while maintaining strong retention and account profitability.
  • Technology & Innovation – Champion tools, systems, and data-driven decision-making to improve producer effectiveness and operational scale.



What We're Looking For


  • Commercial Insurance Leadership Experience – 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within commercial insurance brokerage or agency operations.
  • P&L Ownership – Demonstrated success managing large-scale business units with responsibility for growth, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Leadership at Scale – Experience leading multi-location teams, including producers, sales leaders, service teams, and operational staff.
  • Commercial Market Expertise – Deep knowledge of middle market, large commercial, specialty, and risk management solutions.
  • Carrier Relationships – Proven ability to build executive-level carrier partnerships and negotiate market opportunities.
  • Sales & Growth Track Record – History of driving significant organic growth through producer recruitment, development, and accountability.
  • M&A Experience – Experience integrating acquired agencies and aligning systems, processes, and cultures.
  • Executive Presence – Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Licensing – Active Property & Casualty license required.

  • Comfort with an agency management system and service-metrics reporting
