This individual loves numbers and is quick to problem solve. Their primary role is to maintain accurate accounting records, supporting operations, track expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting. We are seeking someone with a strong analytical mind and an ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to drive financial performance and operational efficiency. 


Requested Tasks:

  • Support and help drive a timely and accurate month-end close process 
  • Prepare and post all month end entries necessary to complete close in the allowed time 
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding reconciling items
  • Complete daily and weekly financial balancing to ensure financial accuracy and integrity
  • Review income audit reports and assist in researching and resolving discrepancies
  • Support hotel department heads with financial questions, reporting needs, and expense review
  • Help lead and coordinate the day-to-day work of the accounting staff
  • Assist with monthly financial statement review alongside the Director of Finance
  • Process invoices in accordance with company policy
  • Reconcile vendor statements and assist with accounts payable follow-up
  • Maintain organized accounting records and support operational and financial reporting needs

Requested Capabilities:

  • Prior hotel or Hospitality accounting experience required
  • Previous experience in an Assistance Accounting Manager or similar accounting leadership role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation processes
  • Experience with daily revenue balancing, weekly financial review, and income audit support
  • Ability to lead accounting staff and work effectively across departments
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support both accounting and operations teams
