The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles. 

About The Role

We are seeking a Technical Delivery Lead who will lead the definition, design, implementation and rollout of the enterprise Digital Servicing Platform, that will serve all channels including end-customers, agents and advisors, contact center, and web, mobile, API. chat etc. This platform will be built on a modern stack including Java, .NET, React, Salesforce and other technologies, and will leverage AI extensively to build an industry leading servicing platform, to provide best-in-class customer experience for our employees, agents and customers.
 

The Technical Delivery Lead is responsible for leading end-to-end technical delivery of software development initiatives and will work closely with IT, Operations, Business and Product teams in all aspects of delivery, including scope definition, estimation, planning, team onboarding, implementation, technical product leadership including adherence to standards, deployment, and reporting.
 

The Technical Delivery Lead will work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, IT, Operations, and Business stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery using Agile and Iterative Waterfall models. The role includes hands-on leadership of internal FTEs and partner teams and also involves working with partners on estimates and contracts and light financial management

Responsibilities

Technical Delivery Ownership

  • Lead end-to-end technical delivery of software development projects and enhancements.
  • Own delivery estimation, sprint and release planning, sequencing, and dependency management.
  • Ensure technical solutions are implemented according to approved architecture, design, and non-functional requirements.
  • Partner with architecture teams to validate design decisions and technical feasibility.
     

Planning, Estimation & Execution

  • Drive technical estimations including effort, resourcing, and timelines.
  • Support project managers in building integrated delivery plans.
  • Ensure alignment between technical plans and overall project milestones.
  • Track progress against delivery commitments and proactively manage risks.
     

·Agile & Hybrid Delivery

  • Lead delivery using Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban) with necessary Waterfall components (e.g., design sign-off, governance, compliance).
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure proper documentation and governance artifacts are maintained where required.
     

Team Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams including:
    • Software engineers
    • QA / testing teams
    • Integration and platform teams
    • Onshore and offshore vendor resources
  • Provide day-to-day technical delivery guidance and remove blockers.
  • Ensure teams follow engineering best practices and delivery standards.
     

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage system integrators and vendor partners delivering development and testing services.
  • Review vendor deliverables, performance, and adherence to contracts and SLAs.
  • Support contract planning, resource ramp-up/down, and cost tracking.
  • Ensure vendor output meets quality, security, and architectural expectations.

Issue, Risk & Dependency Management

  • Identify, track, and resolve technical delivery issues and risks.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate resolution.
  • Escalate issues appropriately with clear impact and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
     

Reporting & Governance

  • Prepare and present regular delivery status reports, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Track delivery KPIs such as velocity, predictability, defect trends, and release readiness.
  • Support steering committee updates and executive communications.
     

Quality, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure solutions meet insurance regulatory, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Validate that testing coverage, performance, and non-functional requirements are met.
  • Support production release and post-implementation stabilization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in technical delivery leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in modern tech stack such Java, .NET, React, Salesforce, and other technologies in an enterprise implementation setting.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations in insurance or financial services.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments, with a strong ability to solve complex problems and a proactive, analytical mindset.
  • Strong leadership and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the financial services industry, Retirement services, Life and Annuities business.
  • Strong foundation in practical application of technology with a software engineering bias. Proven track record of identifying trends, staying current with skills and helping build an engineering-oriented culture.  Good knowledge of APIs, Microservices, Messaging Systems and proficiency with Cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP.  Knowledge of Application and Infrastructure security best practices. 
  • Demonstrates good judgement and knows when to involve others; Uses data, logic, analysis, and experience to make evidence-based decisions.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $145,000 to $180,000 at the commencement of employment for the Jersey City, NJ and Woodland Hills, CA area.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX, Woodland Hills, CA, or Jersey City, NJ office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
