Sysco, a global leader in foodservice distribution, is seeking a seasoned Senior Functional Analyst – WMS Technology to support our Warehouse Management System initiatives. As a member of our Product Management team, you will collaborate with internal Engineering & QA teams, Supply Chain Operations, and SaaS partners to design, implement, and support mission-critical WMS solutions, ensuring efficient warehouse operations and optimal business outcomes. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Lead functional analysis, requirement gathering, and documentation for WMS modules supporting receiving, put-away, inventory, replenishment, picking, shipping, returns, labor, and yard management. 

  • Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into functional specifications and system configurations. 

  • Design, validate, and optimize WMS processes and workflows using best practices and deep domain knowledge. 

  • Collaborate closely with IT developers and vendors on system enhancements, upgrades, interfaces, and integrations. 

  • Create test plans, execute functional and regression testing, and manage defect tracking and remediation. 

  • Develop user documentation, training materials, and conduct training sessions/knowledge transfers. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve WMS issues, providing production support and participating in on-call rotations as needed. 

  • Utilize SQL (mandatory) to extract data, build queries, perform data validations, and generate analytical reports. 

  • Stay current with WMS trends and evaluate new tools/technologies to improve warehouse efficiency and scalability. 

Expected Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 

  • Minimum 5years of functional experience with enterprise WMS implementations, preferably in high-volume warehouse environments. 

  • Skilled in requirement elicitation, process mapping, functional design, and documentation. 

  • Proven WMS expertise (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder, HighJump, Oracle, etc.). 

  • Strong SQL skills are required—ability to write complex queries, joins, stored procedures. 

  • Experience with integration technologies (APIs, EDI, middleware, web services). 

  • Familiarity with RF/hands-free technology, barcoding, RFID, labor management, and warehouse automation preferred. 

  • Background in Agile/Scrum methodology and using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar. 

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, facilitate workshops, and drive solution adoption. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • WMS implementation or upgrade experience in foodservice or highly regulated industries. 

  • Experience with BI tools or data warehousing. 

  • Project management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP). 

  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices. 

  • Comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
