Production Engineer

The Production Engineer will play a vital role within the Production Operations team, responsible for managing profitability and production across our assets. This position will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, design and optimize artificial lift systems, optimize well performance and maintain strong communication with field operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with field operations team to optimize base production and reduce downtime.

• Create AFE’s for flowbacks, workovers, recompletions, and well maintenance operations.

• Lead regularly scheduled well reviews with field operations and reservoir engineers

• Track and monitor LOE, workover and capital spending to meet budget or exceed targets and KPI’s.

• Diagnose root cause of surface and subsurface failures, develop solutions, evaluate economics, execute procedures, and perform lookbacks to improve systematic and reoccurring failures.

• Monitor well and economic performance, conduct reservoir surveillance to create development plans to maximize asset value.

• Ensure compliance with all HSE and regulatory requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related field of study

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and critical thinking.

• Working knowledge of artificial lift, nodal analysis, and production software.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Production Engineer for an E&P preferred
