  • Salary is dependent on experience, with the job being a full-time role.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the supervisor-responsible for all repairs and maintenance of conventional machinery, N/C machinery, CNC machinery, mechanical equipment and material handling equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and determines cause of failures that occur in all conventional, N/C and CNC machinery including electric, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical failures.
  • In addition to machinery, may troubleshoot and repair jib cranes, overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, electric and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • May wire, perform electrical installations and disconnect and connect machine tools and other machinery.
  • May perform work on switch gears, motor relays, gear boxes and perform point to point wiring.
  • May troubleshoot electrical circuits to include a/c and d/c circuitry.
  • May set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • May be required to perform basic arc welding for the purposes of repair.
  • Initiates purchase orders for parts for repairs.
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the preventative maintenance program.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment as required.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be able to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment proficiently.
  • Must have 3 or more years maintenance electrical/mechanical experience working on manual, N/C & CNC equipment.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics and schematics.
  • Must possess excellent hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Electrical trouble shooting experience is required.
  • Preventive Maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division for the purpose of material take-offs and fabrication.
