Position Summary
The Operations Manager plays a vital leadership role in overseeing yard and facility operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and executing company processes in alignment with Copart standards. Reporting to the GM or AGM, this position is responsible for building and managing a high-performing team, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering the unique Copart experience to customers.
鈥ead, hire, train, and support staff to meet performance and service goals.
鈥nsure daily operations meet or exceed company standards and customer expectations.
鈥anage scheduling, attendance, and payroll processes.
鈥versee cash handling, including daily bank deposits.
鈥aintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
鈥onduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
鈥anage vendor contracts and ensure compliance documentation.
鈥nsure equipment and facility maintenance, including safety protocols.
鈥ddress staff and customer concerns professionally.
鈥oster positive employee relations.
鈥versee day-to-day operations and ensure process compliance.
鈥ravel occasionally to other locations and respond to facility alarms if needed.
鈥erform additional duties as assigned.
鈥xcel in working effectively in both office and outdoor environments across diverse climates and weather conditions.
Required Skills & Experience:
鈥inimum of three (3) years in operations management or a related field preferred, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
鈥igh School Diploma (GED) required; some college preferred, reflecting a dedication to growth.
鈥roficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential for effective communication and organization.
鈥xcellent verbal and written communication skills are required to inspire and connect.
鈥bility to recruit, train, develop, and motivate staff reflects a passion for leadership.
鈥trong customer service skills are necessary for creating positive experiences.
鈥yping speed of at least 45 words per minute required for efficiency.
鈥luency in English is mandatory for clear communication, bilingual proficiency is a plus.
鈥asic accounting and inventory management skills are needed for financial responsibility.
鈥bility to thrive in a fast-paced environment emphasizes adaptability.
鈥xperience managing multiple processes for employees showcases organizational skills.
鈥onflict resolution proficiency is necessary for fostering collaboration.
鈥alid transportation is essential for accessibility.
