Position Summary
The Operations Manager plays a vital leadership role in overseeing yard and facility operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and executing company processes in alignment with Copart standards. Reporting to the GM or AGM, this position is responsible for building and managing a high-performing team, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering the unique Copart experience to customers.
鈥ead, hire, train, and support staff to meet performance and service goals.
鈥nsure daily operations meet or exceed company standards and customer expectations.
鈥anage scheduling, attendance, and payroll processes.
鈥versee cash handling, including daily bank deposits.
鈥aintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
鈥onduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
鈥anage vendor contracts and ensure compliance documentation.
鈥nsure equipment and facility maintenance, including safety protocols.
鈥ddress staff and customer concerns professionally.
鈥oster positive employee relations.
鈥versee day-to-day operations and ensure process compliance.
鈥ravel occasionally to other locations and respond to facility alarms if needed.
鈥erform additional duties as assigned.
鈥xcel in working effectively in both office and outdoor environments across diverse climates and weather conditions.


Required Skills & Experience:
鈥inimum of three (3) years in operations management or a related field preferred, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
鈥igh School Diploma (GED) required; some college preferred, reflecting a dedication to growth.
鈥roficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential for effective communication and organization.
鈥xcellent verbal and written communication skills are required to inspire and connect.
鈥bility to recruit, train, develop, and motivate staff reflects a passion for leadership.
鈥trong customer service skills are necessary for creating positive experiences.
鈥yping speed of at least 45 words per minute required for efficiency.
鈥luency in English is mandatory for clear communication, bilingual proficiency is a plus.
鈥asic accounting and inventory management skills are needed for financial responsibility.
鈥bility to thrive in a fast-paced environment emphasizes adaptability.
鈥xperience managing multiple processes for employees showcases organizational skills.
鈥onflict resolution proficiency is necessary for fostering collaboration.
鈥alid transportation is essential for accessibility.
