Ballast Service Engineer Job Summary
The Service Engineer will provide field service through vessel attendance and remote troubleshooting. This role involves hands-on technical service, troubleshooting, and customer support for installed equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Ballast Service Engineer Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and provide technical service for installed equipment.
- Assist in chemical resupply and related logistics.
- Respond to customer correspondence regarding technical issues.
- Record detailed job documents and communicate clearly with co-workers.
- Track and support a fleet of systems as part of the Vessel Delegate program.
- Lead customer training sessions on equipment operation and maintenance.
Ballast Service Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related working experience, preferably in field service and/or technical areas.
- Proficiency in LV electrical installations, PLC programming logic, control systems, and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical experience with piping systems and the ability to read and interpret P&ID, general arrangement, and electrical drawings.
- Experience in the marine industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel for field service assignments.
