Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated software engineerto join our Digitalization and Process Improvement (DPI) team, at either our office in Houston (USA), or Merida (Mexico)on a permanent contract.

The DPI group is responsible for building and maintaining regional digital tools. The team works collaboratively with all departments across the region, ranging from HR and Finance to Project Management and Engineering.

In addition, the DPI group regularly collaborates with other digitalization teams globally, including (but not limited to) teams based in England, France, Brazil, and Malaysia.

The role in question is for a Software Engineer. DPI software engineers work across a range of platforms, including the Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Office–based applications, and bespoke digital tools, primarily developed in Python.

The ideal candidate will have a solid appreciation of basic engineering and business principles, demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform and/or Python, and be familiar with Agile methodologies. Experience working with Azure DevOps is also expected.

  • Working collaboratively across a range of businesses functions.
  • Interfacing with colleagues across the globe.
  • Design and develop software solutions, for a wide range of business needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing process and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Adopt an MVP-driven development approach within a hybrid Agile framework, delivering projects on-time and within budget.
  • Prioritize safe coding practices, working closely with both corporate and cyber security teams to minimize risk.
  • Originate and review technical documentation, relating to both business support and engineering digital initiatives.
