Senior Technology Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design, plan, and implement complex IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security

• Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and network solutions to meet business needs

• Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of systems and technologies

• Manage the day-to-day operations of IT systems, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud resources

• Monitor system performance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and optimize system configurations for efficiency

• Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data from threats and vulnerabilities

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability

• Conduct regular testing and drills to verify the effectiveness of recovery processes

• Provide advanced technical support and assistance to resolve complex issues escalated from junior administrators

• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides

• Promote and enforce best practices in system administration and IT operations

Work environment

• Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions

Physical demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Travel required

• Occasional travel will be required.
• Occasional on-call duties required.

Required education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) or relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+)

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Significant experience administering Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, VM Ware and Office 365 integrations required
