Job Responsibilities

As a PRN CNA, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients while working closely with our interdisciplinary care team.

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
    • Bathing
    • Dressing
    • Grooming
    • Toileting
    • Feeding
  • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided.
  • Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety while following individualized care plans.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and agency policies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in hospice, home health, or long-term care preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
