JOB STATEMENT The Overhire Operations Assistant works closely with the Director of Operations handling the day-to-day operations and event execution of the Alley Theatre. JOB DUTIES Assist the Operations Team with maintaining the conference and event rooms, as well as all kitchens in the facilities. Assist Reception with processing and sorting mail. Order, build and maintain office furniture Assist with internal and external event setup and execution. Cover for Receptionist when necessary Archive Maintenance Complete other tasks and projects as assigned. QualificationsREQUIREMENTS (SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE) Ability to work in a fast-paced, energized and quickly changing environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills. Detail oriented, able to prioritize efficiently and multi-task Ability to be self-directed and take initiative Exhibits a positive attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. routinely Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where directions and priorities can change rapidly. Position requires the flexibility to be available for daytime, weekend, and evening work hours as needed.
