Position?Description
The Payroll Clerk I will be responsible for various time and attendance functions including completion of daily time collection and reporting, expense processing and maintaining employee profile data. All candidates should demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in presenting and explaining payroll information to employees.
Essential Functions
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Process Per Diem and mileage charges.
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Input data into accounting system with accuracy.
- Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Updates employee banking records when necessary to process payments accurately.
- Maintains payroll operation by following policies and procedures.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Excel required (filtering, pivot, advanced functions, etc.).
Education
- Associate degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years payroll experience.
- Experience with Paylocity and Dynamics preferred, but not required

Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Frequent sitting and operating a computer.

- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
- Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
