This position is primarily responsible for union & non-union payroll functions. The role also covers management of company vehicles, cash expense reimbursements, audit requests, reporting, etc. Specific Responsibilities include payroll processing for approximately 1300 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll data, liaising with supervisors for timesheet approvals, running Kronos Integration to Workday, running retro calculations, audit reports, updating payroll rates and deductions, handling pay groups, addressing payroll-related inquiries, processing special payments such as severance and PTO payouts, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, generating manual checks, managing payroll systems and vendor relationships, handling garnishments, tax reports, and year-end W-2 preparation. The role also involves reporting and audits support, accounting processes, controls, and continuous improvements. Required qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (Bachelor’s preferred), payroll certification a plus, 4 years of finance/accounting experience with payroll processing preferred, proficiency with WorkDay, ADP Smart Compliance, Kronos, and MS Excel.
