Extrusion Operator Assistant (STP)

Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041The Extrusion Helper is responsible for assisting the extrusion operator with basic tasks, including cleaning the machine's rollers, organizing production rolls on pallets, general workspace cleaning, delivering samples to the laboratory, and providing support during machine startup. The Helper reports directly to the Team Lead and, when required, to the Extrusion Coordinator. DESCRIPTION Application of the Company’s Core Values in the work environment. Responsible for assistance to extrusion operator. Keep the work area clean and free of materials on the floor, throughout the work shift. Assisting with extruder startup operations. Continuous monitoring of resin feed to the extruder. Assistance with cleaning of rollers and machine surfaces. COMPETENCIES Ability to work effectively within a team. Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff, including team lead and managers. Basic computer skills for operational and communication purposes. Self-sufficient and capable of working with minimal supervision. EXPERIENCE Knowledge to assist the operation of blown film extrusion machines. Minimum of 3 months of experience in a manufacturing environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to work in high and low temperature environments. Capable of climbing stairs multiple times a day. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Need to have own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.
