About The Position

Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Pediatrician for a locum tenens position in Texas. This 8-day assignment begins on 05/16/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with general pediatrics, including well-child visits and treating sick children. Additionally, the provider must be available for 24/7 emergency consults, although the likelihood of being called is very low. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic pediatric setting while enjoying the flexibility of a short-term locum tenens role.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care for patients from newborns to adolescents 

• Conduct well-child visits and developmental screenings 

• Diagnose and treat various pediatric illnesses and conditions 

• Perform routine health check-ups and immunizations 

• Offer patient and family education on health, nutrition, and preventive care 

• Utilize PointClickCare electronic health record system for documentation 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

• Be available for 24/7 emergency consults (low likelihood of being called) 

• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric best practices and treatment guidelines 

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members 

• Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with all relevant regulations

Requirements: 

• Active Texas state medical license 

• Board certification in Pediatrics 

• Experience in general pediatrics, including well-child visits and sick child care  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Flexibility to adapt to a new clinical environment quickly
