The Technician I will be responsible for assisting in the service and maintenance of Farouk Systems, Inc. manufacturing equipment, warehouse and production area, and other administration buildings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•   Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.Â
•   Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts using hand or power tools.Â
•   Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using power tools or hand tools.
•   Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.Â
•   Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.Â
•   Disassemble broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete.Â
•   Assemble and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools.Â
•   Perform entry-level tasks and assist Technicians in the adjustment, maintenance, part replacement, and repair of tools, equipment and machines.Â
•   Perform minor repairs to walls, floors, doors and other interior structures.Â
•   Perform minor repairs to furniture, fixtures; replaces fuses, light bulbs and light switches.Â
•   Hold or supply tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for other workers.Â
•   Prepare work stations, tools, part, equipment and supplies for use by mechanics and technicians.Â
•   Other duties as assigned.Â
Education & Experience:
•   High school diploma or equivalent.
•   1 + years of experience as a carpenter, painter, plumber, or in facility maintenance.
Skills & Physical Abilities:
•   Basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment.Â
•   Knowledge of general facility maintenance operations and procedures.
•   Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•   Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
•   Ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
•   Ability to bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk and reach above shoulder.
•   Ability to work standing and walking for the majority of the assigned work period.
