Summary:

The Senior HRIS  Analyst partners closely with the Global HRIS Manager (Total Rewards), cross-functional HRIS teams, and external vendors to support and enhance the organization’s benefits administration processes. This role will be responsible for leveraging Workday expertise, driving process improvements, and ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient benefit operations for both union and non-union populations across multiple states.

This position is available Hybrid (Houston) or Remote 

Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in Workday Benefits, including configuration, business processes, and data flow into vendor integrations.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex benefits-related issues within Workday and integrations; provide forward-thinking solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Document and maintain business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform audits and data validations to ensure compliance, accuracy, and integrity of health, welfare, and retirement plan data.
  • Partner with Benefits, Payroll, HR, and external vendors to streamline processes, resolve issues, and optimize system functionality.
  • Collaborate with the business to understand requirements, recommend solutions, and support ongoing and new benefit initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support on benefit programs for union and non-union colleagues, ensuring compliance with regulations across multiple states.
  • Support annual processes such as Open Enrollment, year-end activities, and new plan implementations.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to better support colleagues and HR stakeholders.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of business processes related to specific areas of Workday, including understanding of end-to-end Workday integration points

  • Proven track record of Workday requirements gathering and configuration management

  • Effective interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of experience in HRIS/Benefits, with at least 3 years hands-on Workday Benefits configuration and/or integration knowledge.
  • Self-motivated, organized and capable of proactively identifying, sourcing, and handling multiple projects to successful completion
  • Strong computer skills: proficient with MS Outlook, Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

  • Experience working in a global company, preferred

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Associate’s degree in related discipline or an additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
